Albany, NY (WIBX) - New York brewers are "hoppy" about a new round of legislation designed to help grow the craft beer industry in the state.

Tax credits and exemptions from label fees are among the new benefits brewers can enjoy, adding to what Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos says is fast becoming a significant contributor to the state's ecomony.

Crafters will also be able to purchase locally-grown products for use in their beers and will no longer have to separately report sales to restaurants and other retailers.
