SPAFFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities have found the body of a Syracuse man who didn't surface while scuba diving in one of New York's Finger Lakes.

State police divers found 50-year-old Ulises Garcia on Tuesday afternoon about 120 feet underwater in Skaneateles (skin-ee-AT'-luhs) Lake near where the pontoon boat he was diving from was anchored.

Authorities say Garcia was diving with a friend Monday afternoon when the friend realized Garcia hadn't surfaced for more than an hour. Police and firefighters spent hours searching and stopped at sunset before resuming the search Tuesday morning.

Garcia's death remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday to determine the official cause of death.
