ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A new poll shows Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo continues to maintain a 2-to-1 advantage over his Republican challenger in New York's gubernatorial race.

The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday gives Cuomo a 56 to 28 percent lead over Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino. That's essentially unchanged from Quinnipiac's poll in May.

Cuomo has been dogged recently by allegations that his administration interfered with an anti-corruption commission, but the survey indicates the episode has done little to sway voters.

The poll finds that many voters remain unfamiliar with Astorino, or Cuomo's primary challenger, Fordham University law professor Zephyr Teachout. Eighty-eight percent of respondents say they don't know enough about her to form an opinion.

The survey of 1,034 voters was conducted from Thursday through Sunday. It has a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
