Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente joined Governor Cuomo and Oneida Nation Representative Ray Halbritter to further discuss the recently approved agreement between the Oneida nation, the state of New York and Oneida and Madison Counties.

Picente said the Oneidas play an important role in the region as the areas largest employer and the agreement will pay off for everyone.

Governor Cuomo said the ruling by a federal judge was an historic step in ending litigation and a centuries old dispute between neighbors.

The agreement means that Oneida County will now see an annual share of about $12.5 million from the Oneida Nation.
