Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation enacting a statewide $15 an hour minimum wage plan and 12-week paid family leave policy in New York State.

After signing the legislation into law, Cuomo spoke before a rally of more than 1,000 workers, advocates, labor leaders and elected officials at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The governor was joined at the rally by Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.  Speaking at the rally, Clinton said this sends a positive message to the rest of the country.
