Cuomo Signs Bills To Create Cyber Research Institute
Rome, NY (WIBX) – Bills sponsored by Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi to develop a Cyber Research Institute in Rome have been signed by Governor Cuomo.
The two lawmakers say the New York State Urban Development Corporation willl now be able to enter into public and private partnerships with the Air Force Research Lab in Rome.
The institute would become a cyber-security research hub for both state and national purposes.
It would be based at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park.
Brindisi says the institute will help create a number of high tech jobs and provide a much needed boost to the Mohawk Valley’s economy.
