Cuomo Signs Legislation Transfering Armory To City Of Rome

Rome, NY (WIBX) – Governor Cuomo has signed legislation that would transfer ownership of the former State Armory on Black River Boulevard to the city of Rome.
The bill will allow the city to use the building for various municipal purposes.
If granted ownership of the armory, Rome would relocate its recreation, parks and electrical departments to the vacant building.
The armory was closed along with ten other armories across the state last year.
The legislation was sponsored by Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi.
