Governor Andrew Cuomo has unveiled a new economic development initiative that will turn SUNY campuses into magnets for new businesses.

Under the Governor’s “Tax Free NY” program, any new business that opens on a SUNY campus will be able to operate tax free for ten years.

Cuomo says the progam will attract start-ups, new business, and investments from across the world.

He says the businesses will also be able to partner with the world-class higher education institutions in the SUNY system.
