After a stunning overtime win against Duke at the Carrier Dome Saturday night, the Syracuse Orange have earned the top spot in the Associated Press College Basketball poll.

This is Syracuse's first time at the top of the poll since the 2011-2012 season when the Orange held the top spot for six weeks.

Syracuse and Arizona have held the number 1 and 2 spots for eight weeks, but a Wildcats loss at Cal on Saturday coupled with the Orange victory over the Blue Devils gave Cuse the advantage in the polls.

The Orange are off to the best start in school history with a 21-0 record.

Syracuse will try to extend the streak when they host un-ranked Notre Dame at the Dome tonight at 7p.m.
