More vehicles are being recalled over airbag issues.German automaker Daimler is recalling more than 700,000 Mercedes-Benz cars and more than 130,000 Daimler vans that were sold in the United States.

Similar recalls have been made by other automakers.

Federal safety regulators say that the airbag inflators manufactured by Japan-based Takata can explode with force that could cause injury or death.
