Central New York is in for another bout of dangerously cold wind chills as we head back into the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Watch for the Mohawk Valley from Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon. Very cold air and wind will create the potential for dangerous wind chill temperatures, as low as 30 to 40 below zero, according to weather.gov.

The forecast air temperature Thursday night is hovering around zero, with wind chills as low as 20 below zero. Friday night it will feel even colder with air temps dipping to ten below zero, with wind chills making it feel like 30 to 40 below.

The NWS warns that skin exposure in such conditions can result in frostbite in just ten minutes.
