The deadline for municipalities to request disaster aid for the summer flooding has been extended to September 10th.

State government agencies, local governments and certain non-profit organizations that sustained facilities damage from the flooding June 26th to July 4th can file Requests for Public Assistance with New York State.

The program is funded by FEMA.

16 counties are eligible for the funding, including Oneida, Herkimer and Madison.
