Deadly Crash Investigated in Otsego County

New York State Police are investigating the death of an Otsego County man in a single vehicle crash in the Town of Pittsfield.

Authorities say at 5:35 a.m. October 24 they received a 911 call about a crash on County Route 8 and found 50 year old Guillermo Soto of Morris dead in his vehicle.

Police say Soto lost control of his subcompact car for an unknown reason, left the road and hit a tree.

Troopers say they found Soto still strapped into the driver’s seat with his seat belt on.

An autopsy is pending and the investigation is continuing.
