Delta Lake Recovery Efforts Suspended

State Police and the Oneida County Sheriffs office are suspending recovery efforts in Lake Delta for a man who has been missing for over a week.

William Cook jumped into the lake last week in an attempt to save his 14 year old step-son who was struggling to swim.

Officials say the high probability areas of the lake have been searched by underwater and surface teams including 28 hours of sonar scanning by State Police.

The search is being suspended due to low visibility and 38 degree temperatures.
