Delta, U.S. Air Reach Deal To Operate Daily Flights From CNY To NYC

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Traveling to New York City is going to get a lot easier for Central New York residents. According to City of Utica Mayor, David Roefaro, a deal with two airlines has been reached to begin flight operations from Syracuse Hancock International Airport.
Delta and U.S. Air are the two airlines set to begin leisure and business travel from the area to the Big Apple, starting in March. So far, Delta’s plans are to operate five daily flights from Syracuse to LaGuardia. Roefaro says the deal will boost economic growth in the Mohawk Valley, as well as, eliminate the notion that Utica is too far from New York City.
