Democrats on the Oneida County Board of Legislators are calling for a reconsideration of committee assignments to more accurately reflect the make up of the board.

Minority Leader Frank Tallarino says with the current board made of up 13 Republicans and 10 Democrats, the nine-member committees should be comprised of 5 Republicans and 4 Democrats.

He says Board Chairman Jerry Fiorini appointed six Republicans to some nine-member committees.

Tallarino say his blatant disregard of the Democrat party in the makeup of the Board committees is not only a slap in the face to Democrat members of the Board of Legislators, it is also entirely disrespectful to just shy of 45% of the registered voters in the county.

Tallarino says he'll submit an alternate list of committee assignments to Fiorini and hopes the chairman  will reconsider his assignments.
