One of the two Republicans looking to win the Assembly seat currently held by Anthony Brindisi has been endorsed by the Conservative Party.

It was back on July 13th that Bova was unanmiously voted on by the party, but it was officially announced Friday that he has filed the required signatures and State Conservative Party Chair Mike Long has filed the proper paperwork.

Bova said in a statement, "I am truly honored by the support of the Conservative Party of New York. This affirms my platform for a new and reformed Albany, and I will work tirelessly to make sure we are successful in November."

Bova is facing a September 13th Primary against Frederick Nichols, but with this Conservative Party nod he will no doubt be on the ballot in November. He coule potentially end up being on three lines.
