The New York Mets got their second straight complete game shutout from a starter as R.A. Dickey blanked the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon at Citi Field, a day after Johan Santana no-hit St. Louis.

David Wright had a double and a homer (6), and Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Andres Torres each had RBI ground outs.

Dickey (8-1) struck out nine Cardinals against just seven hits, as he extended an incredible run of pitching for the team, and himself.

The knuckle-baller's six game winning streak includes just one earned run in his last 3 starts (23.1 innings) and a total of 38 strike outs over his last four starts (29.1) innings.

St. Louis starter Lance Lynn (8-2) left in the fifth inning after 105 pitches of five hits, four walks and two earned runs.

The Mets (30-23) are tied for second in the N.L. East with the Marlins, one game behind Washington.
