Did he win?

Unbelievably, It was the first-ever Grammy nomination for Blues guitarist and vocalist Joe Bonamassa of New Hartford; and unfortunately, 2014 will not serve as his winning year.

Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart were nominated for their Blues album, “Seesaw,” in the only category set aside for the Blues genre.  The Grammy went to Ben Harper With Charlie Musselwhite for the Album, Get Up!  Other nominees included, Bobby Rush - Down In Louisiana; Billy Boy Arnold, Charlie Musselwhite, Mark Hummel, Sugar Ray Norcia & James Harman - Remembering Little Walter and James Cotton - Cotton Mouth Man.

The Blues category did not make the cut this year for the CBS broadcast and the award was given out during the afternoon session of the Grammys hosted by Cyndi Lauper, where most of the Grammy's are actually awarded.
