Did Judge Properly Punish “Idiot?”

Cleveland, OH (WIBX) – A judge at the Cleveland Municipal Court in Ohio is ordering a somewhat unusual punishment for a woman who drove around a school bus while it was discharging its young passengers.
Shena Hardin, 32 years old, was apparently caught on video driving onto a sidewalk to get around the school bus, which had stopped along the side of the road.
In court this week her license was suspended and she was fined $250. She was also ordered to walk the street for two days next week from 7:45am to 8:45am wearing a sign that says, “Only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid the school bus.”
Does the punishment fit the crime or did the judge go overboard? Comment on our Facebook page and vote in today’s Question of the Day:
