Utica, NY (WIBX) - Some city employees affected by a direct deposit mishap that has their bank accounts short may not see their accounts corrected until Monday, according to the city's Payroll Clerk, Rhonda Starer.

"Everything we needed to do on our end was done by 9:00 this morning," Starer said, adding that the corrected file has already been distributed through Bank of America. However, she says each individual bank processes the file in its own way, saying the payroll file goes from the city to Bank of America, through the Federal Reserve and then to the individual banks.

Depending on which bank each employee goes through, some accounts have already been corrected, others may be fixed by tomorrow morning, and 'it's possible' that the rest may not be corrected until Monday morning, Starer said.
