DMV Now Offering Free Snowmobile Registration

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Snowmobilers can now register their sleds online, thanks to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Instead of standing in line at the DMV, riders can renew registrations quickly online and print 15-day temporary certificates while they wait for their new registration to arrive.

The site also allows snowmobile club members to register at a reduced rate.

Officials say the free service is meant to speed up the registration process without having to mail forms or stand in line.
