A new agreement between New York State and the Oneida Indian Nation has been reached.

Not everyone is happy with the agreement.  Critics say that the agreement was grossly premature, that the state should have fought harder for monies that may have been owed to it.  Proponents say that the agreement is a bonus for Oneida and Madison counties, and a financial boon for the state.
