Domestic Argument Leads to Fight, Arrest

Photo: Utica Police Department

A fight between a woman and her boyfriend led to an arrest in Utica last night.

At 11:30pm on January 1, 2014 police responded to a call from a woman who said she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend at their Jay Street home.  She claimed that she was knocked to the ground and punched in the face several times.  She said that she fought him, scratching his face.  He ran off before police arrived.

Officers tried to locate 44-year old Eduardo Olivares but could not on their first attempt.  An hour later the woman called police again to say that he had returned and allegedly broke her front window.

Police later found and arrested Olivares.  He was charged with harassment and criminal mischief.
