A Domestic Dispute in Rome that led to a standoff with police ended peacefully.

According to Rome Police, officers were called to a home on West Linden Street at approximately 2:00 AM on Sunday.

Upon arrival police were met by an uncooperative male at the residence. The man was visibly upset and wouldn't speak with responding officers.

After officers learned there were other occupants, including children, and the possibility of firearms in the home the Special Response Team arrived on scene.

After several hours of negotiations, the man exited the home without further incident. All other occupants were removed safely. The investigation is ongoing.
