Domestic Dispute Incident Lands Utica Man In Jail

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Law enforcement officials say the smile on a suspect's face -- revealed in his mugshot -- is misleading as they confirm his arrest early this morning.  According to the report, 50-year-old Lawrence Stewart was taken to jail for allegedly slapping and pushing his girlfriend during an argument. Police say Stewart was also found to be in illegal possession of an electronic stun gun.

Stewart is charged with Criminal Possession of a weapon in the 4th Deree and Harassment in the 2nd Degree. The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. this morning at 27 Kenyon Court in Utica. Stewart will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
