Driver Injured In Tractor Trailer Accident

Annsville, NY (WIBX) - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says a tractor-trailer driver was injured in an accident on Sheehan Road in the Town of Annsville.

Deputies say 34-year old Michel Tanguay of Quebec, who was not familiar with the road, started to round a curve that led to a steep incline when he lost control of the rig.

The tractor-trailer left the road and jack-knifed, blocking the road.

The road was closed for about three hours while the truck and trailer were removed.

Tanguay suffered neck and shoulder injuries and was taken to Rome Hospital for evaluation.

He was charged with failing to reduce speed when entering the curve.
