Dunkin’ Donuts Celebrating “National Donut Day” June 1st
Utica, NY (WIBX) – Dunkin’ Donuts is celebrating National Donut Day in a big way, by offering every customer a free donut with the purchase of any beverage.
According to the company, National Donut Day is celebrated on the first Friday in June. This year’s celebration falls on June 1st.
Originally created in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army, to honor women serving donuts to soldiers during World War One, the holiday has become a country wide celebration of the delicious breakfast staple.
The coffee chain will offer the free baked goods while supplies last.
