DWI Charge After Car Accident In New Hartford

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - A Utica woman has been arrested and ticketed for DWI after a car crash in New Hartford .

Police say 36-year-old Shannon Terrell was driving on Route 8 when she drove off the road and into the guardrail.

Terrell was not injured, but she was taken into police custody when her blood alcohol level was found to be more than twice the legal limit.

She's being ticketed for DWI, Driving with a Blood Alcohol Level Over .08-percent and Failure to Keep Right.

Terrell is scheduled to be in New Hartford Town Court next month.
