DWI Crash Injures Three

Floyd, NY (WIBX)- The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says an intoxicated man who was driving the wrong way caused a three vehicle crash.

Deputies say 34 year old Sim Williams of Oriskany was driving eastbound in the westbound lane of Route 49 in Floyd.

They say his vehicle collided with one car, which then collided with another.

27 year old Corrina Rustmann of Utica was trapped inside her car for about 30 minutes.

Rescue workers used the jaws of life to free her.

Williams was arrested on a charge of DWI, along with two counts of assault for recklessly causing physical injury.

The investigation continues, more charges are pending.
