Utica, NY (WIBX) - Cycling from one majestic city to another up the East Coast, two college students are making their way through Utica to Niagara Falls today.

Having started their journey in Key West, Mike Buonaiuto, half of the cycling duo known as "Mike and Nate," says the fifty day, fifty-miles a day journey has special meaning.  He says that taking fifty days out of his summer is the least that he can do to raise awareness about the Wounded Warrior Project and the sacrifices that soldiers injured while serving their country have made for everyday citizens.

Nathaniel ("Nate") Frankoski says that all of the money raised will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and adds that support has been wonderful along the way. "The spirit of Americans has not changed (during the ride)," adding that they have only paid for one meal so far along the way.

Mike and Nate are hope to raise about $50,000 for the project. So far they have made about $8,000.
