New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Commissioner Thomas Mattox says more than 7.9 million New Yorkers e-filed their 2012 personal income tax returns.

Mattix says since 2008, New York taxpayers have saved over $250 million in processing costs as a result of electronic filing.
