What was bad turned worse for the Giants in Sunday night's 27-0 romp at the hand of the Eagles.

Wide receiver Victor Cruz crumbled to the ground grasping his knee on a fourth-and-goal play in the third quarter as the Giants tried to climb back into the game. He missed, what was for him, a catchable pass and the diagnosis is a torn patellar tendon that will likely sideline Cruz for the remainder of the season.

The win keeps Philadelphia among three teams atop the NFC with a 5-1 record - with Dallas and Arizona - and drops New York to 3-3, ending what had been a three-game win streak as Eli Manning and company reverted to the confusion and penalties that plagued them in their first two games of the year.

The Giants were penalized ten times for 74 yards and Manning completed just 13 of 23 pass attempts for 151 yards before being yanked late when the game was out of reach. Those penalties, and inability to establish a ground game without Rashad Jennings, left the Giants in third-and-very long situations all game.

The Eagles finally got that sought after breakout game from LeSean McCoy - 22 carries for 149 yards. Nick Foles threw for 248, two touchdowns and two picks.

Philly has a bye in Week 7 while the Giants head to Dallas.
