An earthquake has been reported this morning off the coast of Alaska.

The earthquake, still under investigation, had a magnitude between 4.7 and 6.1.  Seismologists are still studying the event.

The quake occurred near Elfin Cove, Alaska.  It was centered deep into the ocean, approximately 100 miles northwest of Juneau.

At this time there are no reports of injuries or damages, although the quake was reportedly felt by thousands.
