WEST SENECA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say the eastbound lanes of the Thruway outside of Buffalo are open again after being shut down of several hours by a truck crash.

The state police Thruway detail says a tandem tractor-trailer was traveling east on Interstate 90 when it crashed around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday between Exit 55 and Exit 54 in the town of West Seneca.

Troopers say the crash sent debris across the eastbound lanes. Police say after emergency crews arrived on the scene, a firetruck broke down. Troopers say tow trucks had to be called in to remove the disabled tractor-trailer and firetruck.

Police say the tractor-trailer driver suffered a minor injury.

The eastbound lanes reopened around 5:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
