Electrical Problem in New York Mills on Burrstone Road

An electrical wire is buzzing, hissing, and snapping at this hour behind a popular New York Mills eatery.

UPDATE: 01/05/2014 5:50am Notre Dame Junior Senior High School is closed this morning. It is not known if the closure is related to the electrical issue.

WIBX was on the scene ahead of emergency responders this morning near The Chowder House on Burrstone Road after 3:00am.  We are told that firefighters and National Grid were en route to the scene.

At this time there are no downed wires or outages reported.

The location of the electrical problem is near Notre Dame Middle and Senior High School and the Utica Business Park.  There is no word yet as to whether they are yet affected.

However, this is a developing story and we will provide you with more information as soon as it is available.
