For years, Osama bin Laden had a regular spot atop the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. But in an effort to prove the agency isn’t focused solely on international terrorists, it’s now put a former third-grade teacher at number one  — Eric Toth, who’s accused of possessing and producing child porn.

He replaces the late al Qaeda leader nearly one year after his death.

The 30-year-old Toth was last seen in 2008, when he was fired from a Washington, DC elementary school after another teacher found sexually explicit photos on a school camera in his possession.

Authorities later found Toth’s car at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with a note suggesting he’d committed suicide in a nearby lake, but since no body was ever found, the FBI thinks Toth is still alive. In the last four years, he’s believed to have traveled to Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Arizona.

“This is a dangerous person because of his nature, because he is a child predator, because of his ability to groom both adults and potentially these children to develop some sorts of bond of trust,” said Ronald Hosko, special agent in charge of the criminal division of the FBI’s Washington field office.

The agency believes Toth, who’s also used the alias of David Bussone, may be working as a tutor or a male nanny, and has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
