Erin Hamlin and Luge Relay Team Fall Short

Erin Hamlin's hopes of a second Olympic medal came to an end this morning when she and her teammates, Christopher Mazdzer, Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman, finished sixth the Luge Team Relay.

Here's how it works:  Each country nominates one men's slider, one woman and one doubles team and they each get one heat.

Germany took the Gold, Russia the Silver and Latvia scored the bronze.  The event was streamed live at NBC.com.  A replay of the event is tentatively scheduled for the just after midnight tonight on NBC's coverage.
