Erin Hamlin Named USOC’s ‘Best Female Olympian’
The U.S. Olympics Committee is announcing the honorees for “Best of U.S.,” a new awards program that recognizes outstanding performances from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Remsen’s own Erin Hamlin was awarded best female Olympian from this year’s Sochi Games in Russia, where she became the first American ever to win a medal in singles luge.
Hamlin’s performance broke a 34 year German-Austrian hold on the women’s luge podium.
The awards are determined by fan voting and the awards show will air on NBCSN on Monday, April 7, from 7-8 p.m.
