Local Reaction To Survey Showing Rural Support For Romney

Oneida County, NY (WIBX) - Despite some gaffes in his campaign, Republican Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney is heavily favored over Mr. Obama by rural voters. That’s according to a recent survey of nine battleground states conducted by a bipartisan team of researchers hired by the Center for Rural Strategies.
It shows rural voters favor Romney by 14 points over Obama, giving him a 54-percent approval rating. Although not counted as a battleground state, New York has a large rural population–many of them farmers. Here’s what some of them had to say about the poll:

Spokesperson for the New York Farm Bureau, Steve Ammerman also chimed in, saying local farmers are paying attention to the presidential election.
