Utica’s Third annual walk to celebrate September which is National Recovery Month will be held on Saturday September 13th at 10AM. The walk will flow down Genesee Street to Chancellor Park.

Registration at the MacDonald’s on the corner of Burrstone Road and Genesee Street starts at 9 am, the walk itself begins at 10 am.

Following the very short speaking program there will be a recovery countdown and celebration. According to Oneida County Lifeworks Executive Board president Dawn Muldoon, “Recovery is responsible for changing lives and creating responsible citizens. We invite the entire community to come celebrate recovery’s positive impact. “

All are welcome. OCLW Board Vice-President Roberto Gonzalez points out, “Especially invited are folks, and their families, in recovery. This would include, but is not limited to, members of AA, NA, CA, EA, GA, SA, AL-AL-ANON, AL-ATEEN, Dual recovery, and co-occurring recovery.”

If you’re planning to walk, Registration is a donation of $5.00 per adult. Children and motorized mobility have their registration fee waved.
