Additional Information

The Stone Storytellers, a local performing troupe based at Stone Church in Clinton, NY, will present a public performance called “Love Stories of the Bible” at Stone Church, 8 South Park Row in Clinton at 7pm on Sunday, May 31st. The event is free to attend.

The one-hour program includes the familiar stories of Jacob and Rachel, David and Bathsheba, Ruth and Boaz among others and concludes with a group performance of excerpts from the Bible’s steamy love poem, “The Song of Songs.”

The Stone Storytellers have offered an “Epic Telling” of a gospel or theme stories of the Bible each spring since 2008. They regularly perform the stories of the Bible in worship at Stone Church with the conviction that stories first heard as lively, oral events should not have the life squashed out of them by expressionless reading.

A free will offering will be received to support the Network of Biblical Storytellers International, whose mission is “to encourage everyone to learn and tell biblical stories.” Refreshments will be served following the performance.
