NEW YORK (AP) — A Brooklyn man has been sentenced in a child sex abuse case.

The New York Daily News (http://nydn.us/2jEcHOW ) reports that 31-year-old Moshe Friedman was sentenced to three years' probation in court Wednesday. The ex-tutor previously pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child. Friedman admitted to abusing a six-year-old boy when he was supposed to be tutoring him several times between 2014 and 2015.

The former educator was originally charged with first-degree felony sexual conduct against a child. Friedman's plea agreement also calls for the surrender of his teaching license along with other stipulations. He will not have to register as a sex offender.
