F-15 Fighters Fly Over Rome Today

Rome, New York - F-15 Fighters Jets will be flying high over Rome today.  The Massachusetts Air National Guard will be conducting exercises in the airspace between Rome and Albany.

The training mission is being coordinated with the Civil Air Patrol, which will be flying low-speed civilian propeller aircraft to test its systems, responses, and equipment.

Tests are executed to ensure that the National Guard is prepared to defend Northeastern airspace against airborne threats.
