Family Nurturing Center Of CNY Names Family Of The Year

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Holmes Family of Bridgewater has been named the Family Nurturing Center of Central New York's 2011 "Family of The Year."

Bobby and Eleanor Holmes, both retired and in their 70s, adopted their great-grandchildren, ages 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11, four years ago.

Bobby Holmes is a well-known man-about-town and motivational speaker.

The 20th annual Family of The Year Celebration Dinner will take place on Thursday, June 30th at the Radisson Hotel in Utica.

The Holmes family, and two distinguished finalist families -- the Esper Family of Utica and the Tabangay family of Little Falls, along with four other nominated families, will be honored at the dinner.
