ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Some of New York's finest cider, wine, maple syrup, yogurt and cheese will be on hand at an upcoming reception for lawmakers meant to highlight the state's best locally made products.

The New York Farm Bureau is the host of Monday's legislative reception near the Capitol, an annual event featuring dozens of booths distributing samples of delectable home-grown goodies.

While wine, apples and dairy products such as yogurt and cheese tend to get most of the attention nationally, New York's local beer, cider and distilling industries have experienced significant growth in recent years as consumers seek more local products.
