TULLY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a central New York road has reopened after being shut down for hours by a fatal crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer.

State police say the accident occurred around 8 p.m. Thursday on Route 281 in the Onondaga County town of Tully, just south of Syracuse.

Troopers say a car wound up pinned under a truck. Police say at least one person was killed.

Troopers say more information on the crash will be released later Friday.

The state Department of Transportation shut down both lanes of the road after the crash. The road reopened at 1:45 a.m. Friday.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
