Fatal One-Car Crash Being Investigated in Oneida County

New York State Police responded to a one-car fatal crash in the Town of Florence. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Police say 26-year-old Cody Rocker of Florence, NY was driving southbound on Florence Hill Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve. Rocker then hit a mailbox and continued into a culvert becoming airborne. He finally hit a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and State Police were assisted at the scene by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, Florence Fire Department and Camden Ambulance.
