Fatal Pedestrian Accident In Madison County

State police in Madison County say a car-pedestrian accident resulted in the death of a Bridgeport man Tuesday night.

Investigators say at around 9:30, Matthew Brownell, 26, was hit by a pickup truck driven by Gerald Case, 34, of Kirkville while Brownell was crossing Route 31 in the Town of Sullivan.

Brownell was brought to University hospital where he died of his injuries.
