Fatal Snow Mobile Accident In Town Of Schuyler

Town of Schuyler, NY (WIBX) – State Police in Herkimer are still investigating a fatal snow mobile accident that occured on Dyke Road in the Town of Schuyler at about 10:45 last night.

According to the reports 40-year old Eric Prievo of Newport Road Utica was traveling North on Dyke Road on a Polaris Snowmobile when he struck the back of a Minivan also traveling North on Dyke Road.

Prievo was ejected from the Snowmobile and was pronounced dead at the scene by Herkimer County Coroner Daniel Enea. Officials say Prievo was traveling at an unsafe speed. No one else was hurt in the accident and the investigation is still on going.
